ARH Hall Site Management System

During his time at the University of North Dakota, Ryan was contracted by the university's Association of Residence Halls to create an easily updatable residence hall website system. The goal was to allow students with little or no programming experience to post content to their respective residence hall weblogs.

The open-source blogging platform Wordpress was used, with extensive modifications to the front-end and back-end to cater to ARH's unique goals.

NPS Early Childhood Center

Northville Public Schools contracted Ryan to redesign the website for their Early Childhood Program. The website needed to be easily updatable, easy to use, and convey a visual sense of childhood curiosity. Over a period of two months, the entire site was reworked, including a total overhaul of the server file hierarchy.

A simple manual was written for ECC staff to be able to correctly update the site, whose content relies heavily on PDF documents.

Northville High School

Northville Public Schools contracted Ryan to take a design created by students in a class and transform it into a fully functional website for the district's high school.

The site would see high daily use, so file sizes needed to be kept to a minimum. The site navigation was finalized after observing a variety of small focus groups' preferences when it came to using the site. A bulletin system was also implemented, which allows district administrators to post time-sensitive material directly to the front page of the site.

Silver Springs Elementary School

Northville Public Schools contracted Ryan to design an extremely simple, easy to use website for one of its elementary schools, which had recently undergone a "rebranding." The project's goals were to stick to absolute minimalism, while making the site easy to use and navigate, as well as emphasizing the school's new eagle mascot.

2007 Choir Tour Shirt

Ryan designed the shirt for Northville High School Choir's 2007 trip to Toronto. The design was done entirely in photoshop and then sent off to VGKids for printing.
